Jean May Wenhold
Jean May Wenhold, 87, formerly of Sellersville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Phoebe Richland Nursing Center in Richlandtown, PA. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late Russell Wenhold who died in 2006.
Born in Telford, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Alverda (Shisler) Landis.
She was employed as a nurse’s aide and in the laundry at Rockhill Mennonite Community for more than 20 years.
Mrs. Wenhold was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Sellersville.
She was an avid reader and loved to go shopping. Mrs. Wenhold would also enjoy going out to eat for coffee and dessert with her family and friends, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters: Cheryl Ann Shimp and her husband Thomas of Milton, FL, Karen L. Cripe and her husband Kevin of Perkasie, PA, Deborah Jean Rudolph and her husband Rodrick of Pennsburg, PA, Wanda Lynn Denick and her husband Paul of Bridgeport, PA, a son, Craig Allen Wenhold and his wife Linda of Coopersburg, PA, 13 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Wenhold, who died in 2021, three brothers; Paul Landis, Roy Landis, and Luther Landis, and a sister Sara Borneman.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2022, at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main St., Telford, PA 18969. Interment will follow in the Sellersville Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service.
