Connie Wilson, 69, of Colts Neck Township, NJ passed away at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune Township, NJ on June 25, 2022. Connie was born in Doylestown,

PA and spent her early childhood on a dairy farm in Bedminster, PA before her parents moved to Hatfield, PA where her father Kenneth Hacker was a farmer and a postman, and her mother Claire Hacker was a seamstress. She was the first person from her side of the family to attend college. She graduated college at Penn State University a year early where she received the “High on Life Award”. She moved to Freehold, NJ where she purchased her first home and was an art teacher in the Freehold

Township School District. She left teaching and started a successful career in real estate with Gloria Nilson Realtors where she fell in love her husband Mark T. Wilson. Connie eventually went on to work for Merrill Lynch in their real estate acquisitio­ns department as a Vice President and later a director. After her husband had passed, she took a position with ADP in their real estate department and then set up the real estate department for CDK Global outside of Chicago Illinois and had resided for almost five years in Huntley Illinois, during which she was diagnosed with throat cancer. She had moved back to her home

in Colts Neck shortly after being diagnosed with cancer where her son Andrew James Wilson resided with their two Bernese Mountain dogs, Romeo and Juliet who were part of the family shortly after her father and husband passed in 2009. Romeo and Juliet passed summer of 2021. Connie is survived by her son Andrew who still currently resides in Colts Neck. Connie is also survived by her brother, Jeff Hacker. Connie loved to garden, entertain, cook, bake, host parties, art, calligraph­y, and real estate. She was a big fan of romance films; Broadway plays and musicals. She was an avid reader of Ken Follet and Danielle Steel. She was recently a realtor at Colts Neck Realty, the Vice President of the Colts Neck Seniors Club and on their travel committee, she was a member of the Colts Neck Woman’s Club, then on the following for Colts Neck Township: Shade Tree Commission, Farmland and Open Space Committee, and Historic Preservati­on Committee. Memorial Services will be held at the Colts Neck Reformed Church, 139 Highway 537, Colts Neck on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Scott Brown, Pastor, officiatin­g. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold is in charge of arrangemen­ts.
