Pennridge rallies past Hatboro-Horsham for victory

Boys lacrosse Pennridge 13, Hatboro-Horsham 11:

The Rams fell behind 6-2 after one quarter, but rallied for the win on Monday. Frank Fanelli set up Pennridge for the win with four assists, while Drew Ferguson, Roccon Fanelli and Matt Seiler each scored three goals. Also scoring for Pennridge were Ryan Carickhoff, Matt Kriney and Levi Souder. Ben Souder won 18 of 25faceoffs for Pennridge.

Girls lacrosse Methacton 17, Pottsgrove 3:

Megan Sanelli had five goals and added one assist as the Warrriors won big on Monday. Michelle Zhai added three goals and four assists for Methacton, while Alexa Diezel and Piper Evangelist­a each added two goals. Giada Catola also scored three goals for Methacton.

6: Elli Stein and Nora Ryan each scored two goals but the Trojans dropped the nonconfere­nce contest on Monday. Sophia and Thalia Tsiobikas each added one goal, while Ava Fell had 11 saves.

Baseball Norristown 6, Boyertown 1:

Matt Leary shined over six innings and Norristown picked up its first PAC Liberty Division win since April 10, 2019, a 2-1 win over Methacton. Leary threw six innings of three-hit ball, allowing zero earned runs to go with two walks and three strikeouts. Aiden Hagner closed it out in a one-hit seventh inning. Brett Murphy’s two-run single punctuated Norristown’s three-run sixth inning that sealed the win. Justin Fryer, Asher Guarino and John Salamone also had a hit and RBI for the Eagles (1-0).

Pope John Paul II 6, Pottsgrove 3:

Noah Brandt went 3-for-4 with four RBIs as the Golden Panthers picked up the win on Monday. AJ Diaddezio brought the relief with 6.2innings of work, allowing four hits and two runs.

Methacton 2, Perk Valley 1:

The Warriors dropped a threespot in the third inning and held on for the PAC Liberty win on Monday. Kross Howarth singled and drove in a run, while Tommy Kratz had three hits for Methacton. Winning pitcher Evan Jones went 5.2innings and struck out eight, while allowing just three hits.

Softball North Penn 1, Boyertown 0:

Julia Shearer dominated in the circle again tossing a one-hitter with 14strikeou­ts. The Knights though had a hard time figuring out Ella Hurter until the seventh inning when Reyan Doherty’s single scored Cailin Halfpenny.

Upper Perk 5, Upper Merion 2:

Upper Perk struck for three runs in the 7th inning and pulled out the victory on Monday. Ava DiDonata went all seven innings for Upper Merion, allowing 12hits and five runs in defeat. Maren DeStefano added two hits for Upper Merion, including a double.

Boys volleyball Neshaminy 3, Souderton 0:

Nate Brown had 7 kills and 6 digs but the Indians dropped the match on Monday. Ian Nice added 7kills, Alec Kreiser had 6 digs and Jake Halteman added 4 kills and 2blocks.

Boys tennis Hatboro-Horsham 7, Bensalem 0:

The Hatters won two threesette­rs and posted another SOL win on Monday. The Hatters’ singles players dropped a total of five games in three matches, but things got interestin­g in doubles where the No. 1duo of Caleb Karlson/Ayden Chan eked out a 5-7, 6-4, 10-7thriller over Taran Chimmana/Hamza Zafar. Nearly winning by the same score at No. 4doubles were Jacob Desousa/ Carter Murray who won 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.

CB East 6, Pennsbury 1:

The Patriots swept the doubles matches without dropping a set and posted the SOL crossover win on Monday. Devin Yang and Aum Mehta set the tone at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Ryan Fox/Lucca Frederico. Both Yevgen Kuryanov and Alan Zhang won in straight sets at No. 1and 3singgles respective­ly for CB East. Pennsbury picked up their lone point at No. 2singles where Francis Delcuia won 6-2, 6-2 over Alex Knyazkov.

Council Rock South 5, CB South 2:

CRS swept the singles matches and coasted to the SOL crossover win on Monday. Mikkel Zinder and Alexander Sterin both won 6-0, 6-0at No. 1and 2singles respective­ly. CB South picked up their points at No. 3and 4doubles where Junwon Kang/Smaran Dasari and Nicolas Feng/Ryan Bin both won in straight sets at No. 3and 4 doubles.

Spring-Ford 6, Pope John Paul II 1:

The Rams swept the doubles matches without droppping a set and picked up the PAC crossover win on Monday. The best doubles match of the day came at No. 2 where Luke and Matthew Rouyer won 6-4, 6-1over Andres Lugo and James Pickell. PJP picked up its point at No. 1singles as Aidan McCarrel recovered from a shaky start to win in three sets by scores of 1-6, 6-4, 6-2over Yash Rohera.
