Vacaville’s Parks and Recreation staff are seeking input from the community on what kinds of amenities they would like to see at Trower Park.

The feedback will be gathered through a survey as well as a virtual meeting Wednesday.

Located at the end of Holly Lane near the Vacaville Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club’s Trower Center, Trower Park has a large open field, playgrounds, basketball courts and walking trails, but the city is looking at ways to provide new amenities and is calling upon the community to make their suggestions.

A survey is available at SurveyMonkey.com and asks participants to list their top 3 desired features from a list of proposed items. These include a dog park, tot playground, additional playground equipment, an interactive water feature, a covered group picnic area, volleyball courts, pickleball courts; a flat turf area for sports like soccer, football or rugby; and more. The survey also outlines potential zones for the park and asks users to pick their preferred area for each amenity.

The English survey can be accessed at Surveymonkey. com/r/LR2RSQR. A survey for Spanish speakers can be accessed at Surveymonkey. com/r/JN8YDYY.

For those who would prefer to be more involved in the process, the city will be hosting a design exercise on Zoom. Staff will also be present to answer questions.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday over Zoom. To RSVP, go to Surveymonkey.com/r/ WDXFBGH for English speakers or Surveymonkey.com/r/ FW5S3JP for Spanish speakers

For those unable to participate in the survey or the meeting, they may reach out to staff by calling 469-4000 or emailing Recweb@cityofvacaville.com.
