Halloween is just weeks away and fun is being planned a ll over Solano County.

So far, there are pumpkin patches, trunk or treats, a walking parade, an opportunit­y to meet rescue animals and an online pet photo contest.

Grab your people, some face masks and head out of doors to make some Halloween memories.

• MeHowl O’ Ween by Vacaville Parks and Recreation. Send in your pics of your costumed cats and dogs through Oct. 23. Vote Oct. 28- Nov. 1. Winner announced 10:30 a. m. Nov. 2. • Silveyvill­e Pumpkin Farm, noon- 6 p. m. Tuesday- Friday and 10 a. m.- 6 p. m. weekends, 6248 Silveyvill­e Road., Dixon. Pumpkin patch, hay bales, farm animals to enjoy and so much more.

• Cool Patch Pumpkins, 9 a. m.- 8 p. m. daily, 6150 Dixon Ave., Dixon. Pumpkin patch, pedal cars, hay rides and more. Food and drink available for purchase on weekends.

• Candy Cruise, 5:30- 8 p. m., Crossroads Christian Church, Butcher Road, Vacaville.

Oct. 29

• Halloween Walking Parade, 3- 4 p. m., Pacifica Senior Living 431 Nut Tree Road, Vacaville. Come in costume, trick- or-treat at various socially distanced vendor booths and get informatio­n on healthcare, hospice care and more. Wave at the memory care residents watching from their windows and enjoy a free hot dog and a drink.

• Drive-Thru Halloween Eve, 7:30- 9 p. m. Oct. 20, New

Life Church, 5900 Cherry Glen Rd, Vacaville. Treat bags to be passed out — 30 have giant treats. Free pizza to first 100 cars. Oct. 31

• Pits R’ Us All Breed Rescue and Adoptions, 2- 6 p.m., Beer 40, downtown Vacaville. Meet Popcorn the miniature cow, Prince the mini horse, Hank the mini donkey and Rascal the tortoise. Free trickor-treating for kids, raffle prizes.

• Halloween Trunk or Treat, 10 a.m.-noon, Hall Memorial Park in Dixon. Expect classic cars and candy.

• Treats ‘N Tunes, Young Artists Conservato­ry of Music, 500 Davis St., Vacaville. Costumed kids ages 4-11 can visit during two time slots — Morning Madness at 11 a.m. and Adventure Afternoon at 1 p.m. — each 90 minutes filled with interactiv­e, safe fun, including the String Maze, Monster Mallets, Candy Corn Keyboards and Drum Drive.
