Downtown seeks craft vendors for Main Street Bazaar April 17
The Downtown Vacaville Business Improvement District seeks a few good crafters, sellers, bakers and makers of stuff, collectible or otherwise, for its first-ever Main Street Bazaar.
“This brand-new, spring edition” of the organization’s popular downtown craft fair series will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 17, Brooke Fox, executive director of Downtown Vacaville, said in a press release.
The one-day, free event, rain or shine, will feature vendors offering unique gifts, expanded outdoor dining, and ways to support small businesses, she added in the prepared statement.
In order to comply with COVID-safe guidelines, vendors will be spread out over three blocks, noted Fox.
Main, Merchant, and Parker streets will be closed to vehicular traffic to make way for distanced shopping. Masks will be required for all vendors and shoppers, she added.
In addition to handcrafted and unique gift options, bazaar shoppers can take advantage of special discounts at downtown businesses and restaurants. Parking is available on Cernon Street, behind Town Square, on Main Street at Parker Street, and on Davis and Catherine streets.
Vendor applications are available at www.downtownvacaville.com/vendor-applications/, and the deadline for submission is March 27.
Downtown Vacaville BID staff can assist in obtaining the necessary permits needed to sell at this and future vendor fairs.
Besides the DVBID, the event is sponsored by the City of Vacaville and Recology, the waste management firm that services Vacaville and other Bay Area towns and cities.
