Fill in the blanks and have fun making a silly story.

Itfinally happened! Kids are back in their classrooms, and they feel so very __________ about it. I am your school psychologist, Mr. __________, and you probably don’t recognize me, because now I weigh ________ pounds and have _______ hair, and I am driving a ________. Yes, one whole year makes a difference.

SUCH AS: One of our students, a boy we all know named _________, spent the past year on a long vacation on the ________ Island in the _________ Ocean, where he learned how to make a _________ out of _________, and how to tame wild _________s. He had a pet bird that we would recognize as a _______ bird, but on that island, those birds get much larger from eating ________.

THAT’S RIGHT! This boy did not attend school, but he learned so much, and he got a great tan. I tested him when he returned to school and this is what I found: He knows how to build a shelter out of __________s, and how to fish with a pole he made from a _________. He baited the fishing pole hook with _______. He took at least ________ Dr. Seuss books with him and he read each book _______ times, so his reading skills are ________! He kept a journal and wrote ________ pages daily, and he memorized all his math facts. He can add, subtract, multiply and divide at a level that totally blew me away!

HUH? You want to know if this _______ boy was on the island alone? NO! His whole family of ________ people was with him. They were all excited to come home, because they want to watch TV again. They missed their favorite TV program, which is _______.

ALSO: They wrote a ________ story about their year on the island, and it will be published right away. It will have _______ pages, and will include many ______ photos. The most exciting picture shows the whole family sitting on the back of a native animal, the beautiful ________. Their smiles pop right out and make the reader feel extremely ________ !

SOON our school will have an assembly featuring this ________ family, and they will sing a collection of _______ songs they wrote during their ________ year away on the island. Be sure to let this ________ boy know how happy we are to have him back with us. He will sing a solo at the assembly, titled “Proud to Be ______!”

The person who claps the loudest will get a ________ as a prize! Bye, now!
