Solano College women’s basketball team falls to Santa Rosa

The Solano College women’s basketball team fell to Santa Rosa 75-60 on Friday in nonleague play.

Jaslyn Woods had 11 points and six rebounds and Paige Peterson added nine points and five boards for the Falcons (4-6). Zaire Brown had six rebounds and Genesis Ernie-Hamilton added three assists.

Solano trailed 25-10 after a quarter.

Trinity Hawkins and Clarah Michalik both had 14 points for Santa Rosa.

The Falcons are at Laney on Wednesday.

Girls Basketball American Canyon 76, Vacaville 45

The American Canyon High girls basketball team beat Vacaville 76-45 on Friday in the second round of the Winter Wolf Classic.

American Canyon led 37-21 at halftime. Brynlie Headrick had 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who will play for third place on Saturday. Callie Headrick had eight points.

Jazmine Fontilla had 25 points and five steals for the Wolves (6-2), who play for the title on Saturday against Santa Rosa.

Local Golf PVE The Moaners and Groaners

The PVE Moaners and Groaners have a monthly golf tournament and a monthly putting contest.

The tournament was on Dec. 1 and the putting contest was on Nov. 24.
