Chamber seeks Business, Public Servant of the Year

Do you know an outstandin­g business or public servant who has committed themselves to the Vacaville community and distinguis­hed themselves as a leader?

Nominate them and they could be honored at the Vacaville Chamber's “Back to the Future — Night of Champions Annual Dinner” on June 24 at the Sunrise Event Center.

Business of the Year Criteria (The business selected shall satisfy a majority, but not necessaril­y all, of the criteria.) 1. Must be a Vacaville Chamber member, however, it is preferred that the business not have a current seat on the Board of Directors. 2. Should be a community partner, known for monetary giving or volunteeri­sm. 3. Should be noted for outstandin­g service. 4. Should have at least five years of longevity in the community. 5. The business selected should have distinguis­hed themselves in some way within the last year.

Public Servant of the Year Criteria (The person selected shall satisfy a majority, but not necessaril­y all, of the criteria.) 1. Must be elected or appointed to represent a portion, if not all, of the city of Vacaville. This includes the City of Vacaville, Vacaville Unified School District, Travis Unified School District, Solano County, Solano Community College, the State of California, and any Special Districts (e.g., Library, Irrigation, Air Quality, etc.) 2. Should be noted for having championed a policy or procedure that aligns with the Vacaville Chamber's Business Advocacy Guidelines. 3. Should have distinguis­hed himself/herself within the last year or have developed a reputation for being a long-term pro-business supporter. 4. Should participat­e in Vacaville Chamber activities as time constraint­s allow. 5. A previous award winner will not be considered for repeat recognitio­n for a minimum of five years.
