Janet Willhart, better known as Jan, passed away on June 7, 2022. Margaret Janet French was born November 13, 1920 in San Francisco, CA making her 101 years young. She lived most of her early years in Northern California where she attended San Jose State University. She was working in Santa Clara, near Moffett Field during World War II when she met and married her beloved husband, Raymond Robert Willhart, a Naval Blimp Commander. They had 69 years of a wonderful marriage traveling the world together and loving their family and friends. Ray passed away in 2013. Their lives together started in Los Angeles, where Ray had lived before the war and their two daughters were born. Later they decided to move back to Northern California. They settled in Vacaville in 1958 where Jan helped Ray start his automobile dealership business. They always said it was their best move! Jan and Ray bought an old ranch home built in 1864 and proceeded to spend the next 40 plus years remodeling, entertaining and enjoying all their family and friends in the home she so loved. Jan enjoyed playing golf with her husband at Green Valley Country Club where they were long time members. She recently returned to Green Valley CC to celebrate her centennial birthday. She also loved playing bridge with her many dear friends. She belonged to many bridge groups in Vacaville where she often came in first place. She actually played bridge up to the last month of her life. Jan was a mother of two daughters, Diane Cuniberti (Dennis) and Marilyn Everly (Michael); a grandmother to four, Karrie Rawdon, Patrick Sheehan, Vanessa Benson (Matt) and Erin Razov (Ante); and a great-grandmother to five, Alicia and Kiera Rawdon, Clara and Jake Benson, and Charlize Razov. As one life passes, so another life begins since a sixth great-grandson is due to arrive in August to Erin and Ante Razov. Jan is remembered as a happy and positive woman who touched so many lives. She always insisted on dressing up for every occasion and putting on a smile for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends; but we know she is in good company with her loving husband; enjoying a nightly toast and maybe a dance or two together.
