Three siblings arrested in Vacaville assault
Three siblings were arrested Tuesday in connection with the pistol-whipping of the eldest's girlfriend.
Around 10 p.m., a woman in the 300 block of Bel Air Drive reported having a bleeding head injury after someone struck her with a gun.
Officers learned the woman's girlfriend, identified as Lucia Gomez 23, of Redwood City, had been with her when it happened. Also there were Gomez's brothers, a 16-year-old from Antioch and 15-year-old from Daly City.
The 16-year-old was determined to have struck the victim and “held the gun to the victim's head and threatened to shoot her,” police said.
The siblings were spotted walking on Alamo Drive towards Nut Tree Road and subsequently found hiding behind the Arco AM/PM.
The three ran, police advised, and Gomez and the 15-year-old were detained in the parking lot of a nearby coffee place.
The 16-year-old jumped a fence into the residential area in the 3600 block of Alamo Drive. With the aid of a drone and a California Highway Patrol air unit, and K-9 Scout, a fully loaded handgun reported stole from Odessa, Texas was located in a backyard along the teen's “flight path.” The teen was later found in a garage and surrendered.
Gomez was booked into Solano County Jail on suspicion of resisting arrest and violating the terms of her parole for robbery.
The teens were booked into Juvenile Hall, the elder on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, firearms charges and an outstanding warrant out of Contra Costa County.
The 15-year-old was booked on suspicion of resisting arrest.
