HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Here I am, your school's vice principal, Mr. _________, and I am the man with a _________ plan!

YES! Today we are celebrating everyone's birthday, rather than sprinkle birthdays all over our ________ school's calendar. So, just shout “HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVERYBODY!” and get over it.

WHY? The reason we are doing one big, ________ celebration is that it's easier. At lunchtime we will have a super, ________ party with ________ food and a gigantic birthday cake. Also, everyone will get a gift. Boys will get ________s and girls will get _________s.

BUT… Oh, I know: You want to know about the kids who are absent from school today. Too bad. They will miss the main celebration, but we will have an absentee party for them on another _________ day, which will be announced. It will be special, so don't worry.

HOW? You want to know how special? Okay. All those kids will line up on the platform at a ________ school assembly and we will all sing the birthday song and let at least ________ balloons float up to the ceiling. Then, we will open a cage and turn about _______ creatures called “__________s” loose and listen to everybody scream for a few minutes. Next, we will tell you that each creature has a little sticker on its body that has a number.

HUH? Each number goes with a birthday prize. All the absentee birthday kids will get a _________ prize.

THEN? Well, of course we will have a birthday cake that we will buy from the bakery at ________ , and it will serve ________ people.

WELL… I know. What about the birthday kids who miss the big and very ________ absentee party? They will get a birthday card in the mail that has a ________ inside the card.

BUT… What if the card gets lost in the mail? Sheesh! Those kids will be honored by their teachers with a coupon for a free pet from the Animal Shelter.

The Animal Shelter has ________ very ________ animals. True, most of them are _________s but there are a few ________s and one or two _______.

NOW! What if those ______ kids are allergic to animals? Gotcha! Those allergic kids will get a ________Happy Birthday coloring book and a box of ________ crayons.

TEACHER BIRTHDAYS: Don't ask. Teachers mostly do not have birthdays. But if they do, we will have another ________ day for them. It will be in July when nobody is at school. You can pause and think, “Happy Birthday, ______Teacher,” and eat a cupcake. “Bye” for now, and be _______.
