THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A GPS system and sunglasses valued at a total of $400 and $2 cash were taken from a vehicle parked on the 500 block of Monastery Avenue between 3 and 5:30 a.m. June 6, police said.

ROBBERY » A male was waiting for the bus on the 4900 block of Ridge Ave. at 1 p.m. June 7 when a male walked up to him, pointed an approximat­ely 8-inch knife with a 4-inch blade and said, “Give me your belt,” police said. The victim handed over his belt, and the male walked away, police said. The male was known to the victim and later identified by police, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A catalytic converter valued at $1,300 was removed from a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Pensdale Street between 5 and 11:45 p.m. June 7, police said.

FIRE » Police and fire crews responded to a fire at an unoccupied residence on the 4500 block of Smick Street at 2:30 a.m. June 8, police said. The fire appeared to have started in a back shed and was suspicious, police said. THEFT » Apackage containing cosmetics valued at $50

THEFT » A bicycle valued at $350 was taken from the backyard of a residence on the 100 block of Vassar Street between 10:30 p.m. June 8 and 8:30 a.m. June 9, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A battery valued at $120 was removed from a vehicle parked on the 3700 block of Cresson Street between 11 p.m. June 8 and 10:30 a.m. June 9, police said.

RETAIL THEFT » Baby formula valued at $150 was taken from CVS, 518 Port Royal Road, at 10:38 a.m. June 9 by a man who was described as a black man age 31 to 35 wearing a black shirt, black hat and camouflage shorts, police said. THEFT » A resident reported June 9 a package containing sneakers valued at $700 was taken after being delivered to a residence on the 400 block of Gerhard Street at 11 a.m. May 24, police said.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE » A catalytic converter valued at $300 was removed from a vehicle parked on the 4200 block of Cresson Street between 7 p.m. June 8 and 6 p.m. June 9, police said. THEFT FROM VEHICLE » Credit cards, $100 cash, a bracelet, a hair straighten­er and makeup valued at a total of $675 were taken from a vehicle parked on the 4200 block of Cresson Street at 9:30 p.m. June 9, police said. The front passenger side window was broken, police said. The theft was observed, and the two suspects were described as a white man age 21 to 25 with a skinny frame wearing a black hat, a red shirt and red shorts and a Hispanic woman age 21 to 25 with a heavy frame and red curly hair wearing a white shirt and black pants, police said.

BURGLARY » Fifteen morphine pills and 45 oxycodone pills valued at a total of $60 were taken from a safe in a residence on the 3900 block of Cresson Street between 2 and 3 p.m. June 15, police said.

ROBBERY » A woman entered the Verizon store, 4320 Main St., at 7:20 p.m. June 15 and gave an em- ployee a note saying two cars were surroundin­g the building and they would shoot up the store if the employee did not comply, police said. The note also said the employee was being followed and said his children were being held, police said. The employee gave the woman 10 iPhones valued at a total of $10,910 and then locked himself in the bathroom for 10 minutes as instructed by the woman before she left, police said. The suspect was described as a 5-foot, 3- or 4-inch black woman with light skin wearing a gray threequart­ers-sleeve sweatshirt underneath Muslim garb and carrying a white crossbody purse with an orange lining, police said.

ASSAULT » A resident of the 7300 block ofHill Road said his girlfriend hit him with a lamp and cut him on both sides of his face with a razor blade at 7:42 a.m. June 17, police said. The woman was taken into police custody, police said.
