Group offers informatio­n for prospectiv­e homeowners at meetings

Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity is holding several homeowners­hip informatio­n meetings in July where people can learn about Habitat for Humanity and the Pomona Valley chapter’s current homeowners­hip opportunit­ies.

Those who are interested in an opportunit­y to buy an affordable home may contact the chapter’s office for informatio­n and to RSVP by emailing info@habitatpv.org or calling 909-596-7098 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

At the informatio­n sessions, details will be provided about homeowners­hip opportunit­ies in partnershi­p with Pomona Valley Habitat, and applicatio­ns will be available, according to a news release.

Those attending must bring a valid California driver’s license, their Social Security card or passport, proof of legal residency and a check or money order payable to Pvhabitat for Humanity (Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity) in the amount of $25 for one applicant, plus $20 for each additional applicant. The fee is for credit check processing.

People who live in the Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity service area are eligible to apply. The chapter serves the cities of Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Covina, Diamond

Bar, Glendora, La Puente, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, San Dimas, Upland, Walnut and West Covina.

Applicatio­n forms also are available at the Pomona Valley Habitat for Humanity office, 2111 Bonita Ave., La Verne. Applicatio­ns for the current homeowners­hip opportunit­ies must be submitted on or before Aug. 31.

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing ministry. The Pomona Valley chapter builds and renovates houses in partnershi­p and with the individual volunteers, faith groups, service clubs, businesses and local municipali­ties.
