The Arlington and Montclair boys soccer teams each received seeds in the Division 1 bracket as the CIF Southern Section released its playoff pairings Saturday morning.

River Valley League champion Arlington is the No. 3 seed. The Lions open at home Thursday against Aliso Niguel.

Montclair, the Mt. Baldy League champion and last season’s Division 4 winner, picked up the No. 4 seed. The Cavaliers also will open at home Thursday against San Marcos.

Mountain Pass League champion Citrus Hill was the third Inland team that made the cut for the Division 1 playoffs, but the Hawks will have to travel to Cathedral for a first-round match Thursday.

Five other Inland teams received a top-4 seeding for this season’s playoffs.

Cajon, the Citrus Belt League runner-up, was not chosen for the Division 1 playoffs but instead earned the No. 1 seed in the Division 2 bracket. The Cowboys open at home Thursday against Granite Hills.

Inland teams grabbed the top three seeds in the Division 6 bracket. Skyline League champion San Gorgonio is the No. 1 seed, and the Spartans open at home Thursday against Eastside. Temescal Canyon, the Sunbelt League champion, is the No. 2 seed, and the Titans host Arcadia in a firstround match Thursday. Mountain Valley League champion Miller is seeded third, and the Rebels open at home Thursday with Cathedral City.

South Valley League champion California Military Institute received the No. 1 seed in Division 7. The Roughriders open at home Thursday against Tahquitz, Silver Valley or Gorman Charter.

The Division 7 bracket had too many automatic qualifiers, so Silver Valley will play Gorman Charter on Monday with the winner playing another wild-card match at Tahquitz on Tuesday.
