Warriors beat Mavs, but Curry injures leg

Stephen Curry had 21 points, seven assists and six rebounds before injuring his left leg defending a drive, and the host Golden State Warriors defeated Dallas 119-113 on Saturday night and the undermanne­d Mavericks team missing injured star Luka Doncic.

The Warriors said X-rays for Curry were negative, and he will have an MRI exam.

Draymond Green added 17 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while Jamychal Green scored 14 points and Jonathan Kuminga and Donte Divincenzo each had 13 in a big performanc­e by the bench.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 25 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. 22 to lead the Mavs. Doncic, who has a bruised right heel, averages 33.4 points, 8.9 rebounds and 8.2 assists per for Dallas.

NETS 125, WIZARDS 123 >> Cam Thomas scored a career-high 44 points off the bench and host Brooklyn overcame a 23-point deficit. Nets guard Kyrie Irving was out with what the team said was right calf soreness a day after he said he wants to be traded. Brooklyn, which also played without Kevin Durant, T.J. Warren and Ben Simmons, lost Seth Curry and Markieff Morris in the game. Kristaps Porzingis led Washington with 38 points.

SUNS 116, PISTONS 100 >> Deandre Ayton had 31 points and 16 rebounds to help Phoenix beat host Detroit. The surging Suns have won eight of 10 games and have help on the way with Devin Booker nearing his return. The three-time All-star guard has been out since Christmas with a groin injury. Saddiq Bey had 25 points for Detroit.

THUNDER 153, ROCKETS 121 >> Shai Gilgeous-alexander scored 42 points to lead host Oklahoma City. The Thunder record for points in a game. Mike Muscala scored a season-high 19 points and Josh Giddey added 17 points, 10 assists and eight rebounds for OKC. Josh Christophe­r and Tyty Washington each scored 20 points for Houston.

BULLS 129, TRAIL BLAZERS 121 >> Zach Lavine scored 36 points, Demar Derozan had 27 for host Chicago. Nikola Vucevic added 23 points and 11 rebounds as Chicago won for the third time in four games, erasing a 17-point deficit in the second half. Damian Lillard scored 40 points for Portland

NUGGETS 128, HAWKS 108 >> Jamal Murray scored a season-high 41 points and Nikola Jokic had his 18th triple-double of the season for host Denver. Jokic finished with 14 points, 18 rebounds and 10 assists and recorded the 94th career regular-season triple-double. The Nuggets are 19-1 in their past 20 home games. Dejounte Murray scored 28 points to lead Atlanta.

BUCKS 123, HEAT 115 >> Giannis Antetokoun­mpo had a triple-double with 35 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists and host Milwaukee won its seventh straight. Jimmy Butler scored 32 points and Tyler Herro had 24 for Miami, which had just nine available players.
