While the death of Auxiliary Bishop David O’connell is still being investigat­ed, many took to Twitter to share their condolence­s from around California and beyond.

“Bishop David O’connell was a personal friend that I met during my tenure in Congress. He was an advocate of immigratio­n reform and cared deeply about our most vulnerable. I will miss him dearly. Keeping his loved ones and parishione­rs in my thoughts and prayers.”
