Guided bird walks: Chirp Nature Center offers free wild bird walks through the forest and along Big Bear Lake 8-9:30 a.m. the first Saturday of the month from May through October. Walks begin and end at Chirp Nature Center, 578 Bonanza Trail, Big Bear Lake. After the walk, there will be free doughnuts and coffee and a raffle. Birdwatchers of all levels and ages are welcome. Children’s workshops: The Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival offers free workshops for children ages 4 to 12 most Saturdays and Tuesdays through Aug. 12.
