HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL RANKINGS
Here are the latest IE Varsity boys basketball rankings. Records are through Sunday, Feb. 4.
1. Roosevelt (27-2)
The Mustangs beat Centennial to win the Big VIII League tournament and are the Open Division’s No. 2 seed.
Previous ranking: 2 2. Centennial (20-10)
The Huskies seek the program’s fourth straight Open Division title but would have to do so as the No. 8seed.

The Spartans beat Rancho Cucamonga and Etiwanda last week to claim the Baseline League championship.

4. Etiwanda (23-5)
The Eagles finished second in the Baseline League
standings but remain one of the top teams in Division 1.

5. Rancho Christian (18-9) The Eagles got some help from Riverside Poly and claimed the program’s second straight Ivy League title.

6. Rancho Verde (24-4) The Mustangs avenged previous loss to Rancho Christian but came up short in rematch with Riverside Poly.

7. Rancho Cucamonga (18-10)
The Cougars finished third in the Baseline League and will open the Division 1playoffs at Anaheim Canyon.

8. Riverside Poly (17-11) The Bears finished the regular season on a positive
note, beating Rancho Verde to secure a playoff berth.

9. Murrieta Valley (18-10) The Nighthawks knocked off Temecula Valley to secure their second consecutive Southwestern League title.

10. Vista Murrieta (24-4) The Broncos tied for second place in the Southwestern League and host Culver City in a Division 2AA opener.
