Irish ales and beer-pairing dinner

Reservatio­ns are now available for the next BJ’S Restaurant and Brewhouse five-course beerpairin­g dinner, set for 6:30 p.m. March 4.

The dinner features beers from Guinness Brewery.

The menu is as follows. Course 1: Smithwick’s Irish Ale paired with a house wedge salad

Course 2: Sullivan’s Maltings Irish Ale paired with spicy pig tavern cut pizza

Course 3: Guinness Draught paired with BJ’S chili infused with Guinness

Course 4: BJ’S Jeremiah Red paired with New Orleans jambalaya

Palate cleanser: Guinness Extra Stout

Course 5: Sullivan’s Black Marble Nitro Stout paired with a hot fudge brownie Pizookie

The cost is $45 in advance and will be $50 the day of, if available. The cost for designated drivers is $30.

The price does not include tax or gratuity.

As of the time of writing, reservatio­ns were still available at all Inland Empire locations, except Victorvill­e.

KFC Rewards launches

KFC has updated its app with a rewards program.

KFC Rewards allows customers to earn points for purchases and redeem those points for free food.

Members earn 10 points for every dollar spent.

Rewards include a chicken leg, five-piece nuggets, a Chicken Little sandwich, an individual side or a medium beverage for 250 points; eightpiece nuggets, a beverage bucket, a chicken sandwich or a kid’s meal for 500 points; an eightpiece nugget combo or a Famous Bowl and a drink for 750 points; and a 12-piece nugget combo or chicken sandwich Big Box meal for 1,000 points.

There are also specials, with an initial offer of 50% off a chicken sandwich.

The KFC app is available for IOS and Android.
