Gala event will benefit Megan’s Wings
The Uplanders Club Charitable Organization, a nonprofit organization based in Upland, will hold its annual fundraising gala 5-9 p.m. March 23 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Claremont.
This year’s event will raise funds for Megan’s Wings, which provides assistance to Inland Empire and Pomona Valley families dealing with childhood cancer.
Each year in June, the Uplanders Club Charitable Organization invites 501(c)(3) organizations in Upland and surrounding communities to submit applications for funding, and in July the Uplanders Club Charitable Organization chooses which organization the year’s fundraising will benefit.
Recipients in past years have included Casa Colina, for the Children’s Music Project and the Wounded Warriors Program; Crossroads; His Hands Food Pantry, during the COVID-19 pandemic; Million Kids; OPARC; Ontario USO; Hero’s Warehouse; and Pacific Lifeline.
In 2023, the organization
donated more than $50,000 to the Upland Police Foundation, according to a news release.
This year, the Uplanders Club Charitable Organization chose Megan’s Wings from 17 applicants. Megan’s
Wings, based in Upland, provides financial in a variety of programs for families dealing with childhood cancer.
Tickets for the Uplanders Club Charitable Organization’s Wings of Hope
Gala are $100, and RSVP is requested by March 10. Cocktail attire is suggested.
