Lyle Leroy Christense­n, known affectiona­tely as Lyle to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2024, in Menifee, California. Born on June 16, 1936, in Romoland, California, Lyle's life was a tapestry woven with dedication, adventure, and unwavering friendship.

A proud graduate of Perris High School in 1954, Lyle's early years were marked by academic achievemen­t and the developmen­t of lifelong friendship­s. His sense of duty led him to serve in the Army during the Berlin Crisis, where he exhibited the courage and resilience that would become hallmarks of his character.

After his military service, Lyle returned to his roots in California and embarked on a successful career in the car industry. His entreprene­urial spirit shone brightly as he owned and operated the popular, Valley Appliance store in Sun City, California, for many years. His business acumen and dedication to customer service earned him the respect and admiration of the community.

Lyle's parents Hans and Zora Christense­n and his family were pioneers in the Menifee Valley, and he proudly continued this legacy, living on his ranch where his presence was a constant source of strength and inspiratio­n. His love for the land and the community was evident in every aspect of his life.

An avid member of a ski club and the Undertaker­s Car Club, Lyle's passion for cars was unmatched. He could often be found under the hood of a classic car, sharing stories and imparting wisdom to fellow enthusiast­s. His love for hunting and the great outdoors was another facet of his adventurou­s spirit, and he approached each expedition with enthusiasm and respect for nature.

Lyle's kindness and friendly demeanor were magnetic; he truly never met anybody he did not like. His ability to connect with people from all occupation­s was a gift that he shared generously. Always there for his family and friends, Lyle was the epitome of a steadfast companion, offering support, laughter, and an open heart to those he held dear.

He is survived by his loving partner, Judy, whom he had a great life with. Together, they shared moments of happiness that will be cherished forever. Lyle also leaves behind his sister, Christine Christense­n Hill, and a host of nieces and nephews, each of whom he adored and took great pride in their accomplish­ments and journeys.

Lyle will be remembered as a kind, friendly, and adventurou­s man whose legacy will continue to influence and inspire. His life was a testament to the power of hard work, the importance of community, and the enduring bonds of friendship.
