Bon Jovi unsure if he can tour again after surgery
Jon Bon Jovi, the iconic frontman of Bon Jovi, says he’s unsure if he’ll tour again after undergoing vocal cord surgery in 2022. Billboard reports the 61-year-old rock singer told a Boston radio station that he’s still recovering from the procedure. Bon Jovi is set to release its 16th album, “Forever,” this summer, but Jon Bon Jovi said the band may not be able to do concerts in support of the new music.
“I don’t know about a tour,” he told Mix 104.1Boston. “It is my desire to do a tour next year, but I’m just still recovering from a major surgery.” According to People magazine, the “Livin’ on a Prayer” vocalist got surgery in 2022after learning one of his vocal cords was “atrophying.”
Mellencamp clashes with heckling crowd, walks out
Rock & Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp cut short a concert Sunday in Toledo when hecklers in the crowd wouldn’t stop interrupting him. Mellencamp was interrupted initially as he was telling a story. A video on Tiktok shows Mellencamp respond as an unseen audience member that he should “play some music.” The audience booed the heckler. Then Mellencamp addressed the
heckler directly and told someone on the concert staff to bring the man to him after the show. “What do you think I’ve been doing, you (expletive)?” he said. Mellencamp returned to telling his story, but another heckler shouted at him to play the “Authority Song.” Mellencamp responds, “Tell you what I’m going to do. Since you’ve been so wonderful, I’m going to cut about 10 songs out of the show. Here we go.” With that, Mellencamp began to sing his hit “Jack & Diane” before stopping abruptly. “Know what? Show’s over,” Mellencamp says before walking offstage.
Richard Simmons ‘dying’ but not, you know, DYING
Richard Simmons is “very healthy and happy,” according to his spokesman, after social media posts by the fitness celebrity raised concerns about his health. “I have some news to tell you. Please don’t be sad. I am …. dying,” Simmons, 75, wrote in posts on Facebook and X on Monday. “The truth is we all are dying. Every day we live we are getting closer to our death. “Why am I telling you this?” Simmons continued. “Because I want you to enjoy your life to the fullest every single day. Get up in the morning and look at the sky… count your blessings and enjoy.” When reached by CNN, Tom Estey, a spokesman for Simmons, clarified that the posts were meant to be motivational and not a personal health announcement. “I can confirm with 100% certainty that Richard is not dying,” Estey told CNN.
