Talent show: The Rialto Unified School District presents its 17th annual Rialto’s Incredible Talent Zone (RITZ), featuring special guests J.J. Fad and DJ Arabian Prince, 5:30-8p.m. at Carter High School Theatre Hall, 2630 N. Linden Ave., Rialto. Event includes a silent auction, and proceeds will support students and families through the Sharing Our Love Foundation. Garden tour: The Redlands Horticultu­ral and Improvemen­t Society’s annual garden tour, featuring six Redlands gardens, is 10 a.m.-4 p.m. today and Sunday. San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society: Richard A. Hanks will present “The Struggle for Sovereignt­y, Self-determinat­ion and Survival by Southern California Indians” at the monthly meeting of the San Bernardino Historical and Pioneer Society, 7p.m. at the Christian R. Harris Memorial Hall, next to the Heritage House at the corner of Eighth and D streets in San Bernardino. Hanks’ presentati­on will focus on his book “This War is for a Whole Life: The Culture of Resistance Among Southern California Indians, 1850-1866,” published in 2012, with a second edition released in 2023.
