How do you describe the life of a woman? She is known not by the number of people she loved but by the number of people who loved her.

Carolann Boone, age 86, of Bryant, passed away on Dec. 28, 2022, peacefully and surrounded by those who loved her.

The daughter of John R. and Dorothy (Roxburgh) Schumacher was born in Brooklyn, New York, on April 21, 1936.

She was a 1950 graduate of Bryant High School and 1956 Baptist Nursing School as an RN. She worked in various nursing positions at area hospitals, local surgeons and Alexander Human Developmen­t Center, as well as, vaccinatin­g and treating many residents of Bryant over the years. She was a Methodist and a yellow dog democrat.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as a brother, John; brothers-in-law, Coyce Boone, Bill Boone and James Adams; sisters-in-law, Jane Schuhmache­r, Imogene Miller, Betty Jo Adams and Edna Lee Boone; mephews, Rick Boone and Jacob Boone; and a niece Leslie Miller.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy, of Bryant; a son, Martin (Shannon), of East End; grandson, Brandon; brother-in-law, Holland Miller; and sisterin-law, Leta Boone; and host of dearly loved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and dearly loved friends.

A very special thank you to Debbie, Shara and Kitty Visitation will be at 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, at Bryant First United Methodist Church with services beginning at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Bryant Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bryant First United Methodist Church.
