HASKELL -- The Harmony Grove Lady Cardinals battled ups and downs all season, finishing the 2023-24 schedule with a 17-13 finish.

The team also played runners-up in the Bill Gibbs Tournament, took third at the

Ouachita Holiday Hoops Tournament and qualified for the Regional Tournament.

“As a team, I am just so proud of this group,” said Head Coach Levi Spinks. “This was probably, top to bottom, the most I’ve trusted a team to follow my game prep and plan. Regardless of whether I made the best coaching decisions, they tried to execute what I asked of them every game.teams like that make it fun to come to work every day.”

Now that prep for next season is underway, three Lady Cardinals are being honored for their performances during the season.

Sydney Brown, Harmony Grove’s leading scorer, has earned Allstate and All-conference nods with her 13.6 points per game, going along with her 2.4 steals and 85 made 3-pointers.

“Syd has worked so hard through off-seasons and put in the extra work it takes to get to the level she’s at now,” Spinks said. “She just continues to put more and more skills together to become a more complete scorer and player.”

Earning All-conference for the second straight season, Natalie Harder upped her averages this season, scoring 8.3 points per game and rebounded at a high rate of 9.3 per game while starting all 30 contests.

“She is just a great competitor and hard worker,” Spinks added. “I have enjoyed coaching her so much the last six years.”

Olivia Wallace rounds out the honors with her All-conference capture. Wallace scored 8.7 points per game with 2.3 assists and 2 steals per contest as well.

“She worked really hard to improve from where she was in junior high through this year,” Spinks said. “When she was younger she would not have thought she’d have ever been a consistent starter and good player, so that’s a credit to the work she put in.”
