NASSAU — Laura Janet Crandall Dashnaw of Nassau, formerly of Sa ra toga Springs, passed away suddenly at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 47 years of age.

Born Nov. 20, 1965, in Burlington, Vt., to Georiga A. and Preston D. Crandall, she was a Yankee at heart!

Laura is survived by her mother, Georgia A. Lyman (David) of Glens Falls; her father, Preston Crandall of Wildwood, Fla.; a sister, Gwyneth Burrow ( Tommie) of Edmund, Okla.; a nephew, Andrew P. Davis of Normand, Okla.; and an aunt, Bonnie May Benoit of Concord, Vt. She is also survived by her fiancé, Raymond Skudera of Nassau.

She was predecease­d by her maternal grandparen­ts, George and Laura Sidman of Albany, and her paternal grandparen­ts, Ted and Janet Crandall of Hardwick, Vt.

Laura was a faithful and devoted assistant manager at Walmart in East Greenbush and was beloved by all. She was an avid animal lover, reader of Stephen King novels, loved watching “Sons of Anarchy” and be-bopped to “Def Leppard.”

She was funny, busy, loving and a real friend to all who needed her. We will miss her terribly.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at the Tunison Funeral Home, 105 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 and again from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.
