Colleen E Carlson

BALLSTON SPA — Colleen E. Carlson, 61, of Ballston Spa passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Saratoga Hospital.

Born in Fort Miller Sept. 22, 1951, the daughter of Arthur and Sylvia Wait Hammond, and formerly from western New York, Colleen has lived in the area for the past 12 years

She had worked as a CAN at The Wesley Nursing Home in Saratoga Springs and The Home of the Good Shepard in Malta. Colleen and her husband had attended The Saratoga Assembly of God.

She is predeceased by her parents.

Colleen is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ronald Carlson; daughters, Roni D. and Daniel Kelley and Chantel A. and Nathaniel Wright. She is also survived by sisters, Mona and Bruce Obie-Ross, and Chrissy J. and Leonard Borden; brothers, Arthur and Hope Hammond III and Steven and Nicki Hammond; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 25 Hyde Blvd., Ballston Spa. Calling hours are from 5 to 7: 30 p. m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the funeral home.

Burial will be at the Gerald B. H. Solomon-Saratoga National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Saratoga, 79 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs.
