SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Catholic posted four players in double digits as the Saints ran rough- shot past the Fort Plain Hilltopper­s in its 7225 WAC victory.

Ryan Czarnecki paced the Saratoga Catholic offense, scoring 14 points. Mike Naughton and Keegan Murphy each logged double- doubles on the night, Naughton with 11 points and 13 boards and Murphy adding 10 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Luke Spicer aided the winning cause with 11 points. With the win, Saratoga Catholic improved to 3- 4 overall and 3-2 in WAC play.

Fort Plain dropped to 52 overall and 4-1 in league.

Saratoga Catholic next plays in its annual Christmas Tournament Dec. 27

when they play Voorhesvil­le.

Columbia 71, Burnt Hills 69 EAST GREENBUSH — Dave Wellington scored 25 points and Rob Knightes added 21 points, but the Spartans’ fourth quarter rally fell short in its 71-69 loss to the Blue Devils Friday night.

Columbia received 25 points from Jahlil Nails and 22 from Conrad Zampier. Averill Park 66, Saratoga 39 AVERILL PARK — Dan Vanroy lit the Blue Streaks up for a game- high 22 points in Averill Park’s Suburban Council victory Friday night.

Saratoga Springs was led by Jonathan Rach and Jesse Alexander who both scored nine points.

Bethlehem 90, Ballston Spa 39 BETHLEHEM — Scotties’ Jeremy Medrick tallied 11 points and was aided by Andrew Gentile’s 10 in the tough loss for Ballston Spa.

Connor Morelli was good for 22 points in the Eagles’ win.

Girls Basketball

Mechanicvi­lle 61, Voorheesvi­lle 53 MECHANICVI­LLE — Trailing 27-21 at halftime, Megan Bazar scored 15 of her 23 points in the second half to lead the Red Raiders past the Blackbirds.

Mechanicvi­lle outscored Voorhesvil­le 24- 15 in the fourth quarter to secure the victory. Columbia 39, BH-BL 32 BURNT HILLS — Florie Comley’s 14 points was not enough to push the Spartans past the Blue Devils.

Fort Plain 54, Saratoga Catholic 29 FORT PLAIN — Abby Boyer’s 18 points led the way for the Hilltopper­s as they ran away with a WAC victory Friday night.

The Saints were led by Kaylie Fish who scored nearly half of Saratoga Catholic’s points with 14.

Bethlehem 65, Ballston Spa 28 BALLSTON SPA — Kaylee Rickert led four Bethlehem players in double figures with 17 points in its win over Ballston Spa. Sydney Hansen scored eight points for the Scotties.
