Kathryn B. (Monaco) D’ambro

BALLSTON SPA — Kathryn B. ( Monaco) D’Ambro, 66, of Ballston Spa passed away Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012.

Born Jan. 24, 1946, in Ballston Spa, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antoinette Monaco.

Kat was a waitress at JeRon’s Restaurant and Manna’s Restaurant in Ballston Spa for more than 20 years.

She was an avid Giants and Yankees fan and enjoyed going to Saratoga Race Course. Kat was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing for family gatherings. She loved to sing and dance.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Bernard and Louis Monaco, and two sisters, Jennie Odorizzo and Sophie Wolfershiem.

Kat is survived by her brothers and sisters, Theresa Monaco of Ballston Spa, Anthony Monaco of Amsterdam, James Monaco of Saratoga Springs, Josephine Dufort of Ballston Spa, Joseph Monaco of Ballston Spa, Albert Monaco of Scotia, Harry Monaco of Ballston Spa, Pasquale Monaco of Ballston Spa, Olivio “Tete” Monaco of Ballston Spa and Donald Monaco of Ballston Spa, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Milton Avenue in Ballston Spa, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Ballston Spa.

Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 to 8 p. m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Armer Funeral Home Inc., 39 E. High St., Ballston Spa.
