Dudley Ace Deuel
CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Dudley Ace Deuel, 60, of Cheyenne, Wyo., passed into eternal rest Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 31, 1952, in Troy and graduated from Corinth High School in 1970. Dud served in the U.S. Air Force during Operation Desert Shield and retired after 20 years of service, living in Cheyenne for the past 28 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 660 and two bowling leagues in Cheyenne, the 660 Elks and the Suburbanites, where he was president of the league. Dud also enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, watching football and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; a son, Craig; two daughters, Jodi (Deuel) Dominy and Dawn ( Karl Knighton) Hoover-Knighton; five grandchildren, Brandon Dominy, Darien Dominy, Trinity Deuel, Ethan Deuel and Michael Lee Knighton, all of Cheyenne; a brother, Tad ( Dianne) Deuel of Wilton; a sister, Priscilla Meade of Canton, Ga.; nephews, Ryan ( Renee) Deuel of Wilton, Todd (Stephanie) Deuel of Lake Luzerne; nieces, Melanie ( Travis) of Garland, N. C., and Rachel ( Michael) Backus of Saratoga Springs; aunts, Beverly Fasulo or Corinth and Evelyn Hodom of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Deuel; parents, Ausbern Louis Deuel and Cecil Beryl Deuel; and grandparents Charles and Kathleen Washburn.
A celebration of his life will be held at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Elks Lodge No. 660, 100 E. 17th Street in Cheyenne.
Interment was at the Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
