LINCOLN’S BOLD LION: Author James T. Huffstodt will discuss his new biography of former Saratoga Springs resident Union Brigadier General Martin Davis Hardin (1837-1923), “Lincoln’s Bold Lion,” at the Saratoga Springs History Museum in the Canfield Casino, Wednesday, September 7, at 7 p.m. as part of the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust Program Series. Huffstodt, a Tallahasse­e resident, spent six years researchin­g Hardin’s life, working closely with the staff of the Saratoga Springs History Museum and the Walworth Family Museum, whose archives contains many of his personal letters and other papers.
