LINCOLN’S BOLD LION: Author James T. Huffstodt will discuss his new biography of former Saratoga Springs resident Union Brigadier General Martin Davis Hardin (1837-1923), “Lincoln’s Bold Lion,” at the Saratoga Springs History Museum in the Canfield Casino, Wednesday, September 7, at 7 p.m. as part of the Alfred Z. Solomon Charitable Trust Program Series. Huffstodt, a Tallahassee resident, spent six years researching Hardin’s life, working closely with the staff of the Saratoga Springs History Museum and the Walworth Family Museum, whose archives contains many of his personal letters and other papers.
