Late pick 5 added starting this Friday
By NYRA SARATOGA SPRINGS >> The New York Racing Association has a second Pick 5 to the wagering menu beginning Friday, Sept. 2, at Saratoga Race Course through the closing day of the meet, Monday, Sept. 5.
The popular multi-race wager will cover the last five races of each card and feature the same 15 percent takeout rate and $0.50 bet minimum as the existing early Pick 5. The late Pick 5 will also feature the same carryover provision of 100% of the net pool into the next day’s NYRA Bets late Pick 5 if there are no winning tickets.
The late Pick 4 and Pick 6 will continue to be offered at Saratoga on the final four and six races of the day, respectively.
All multi-leg wagers that enter closing day with a carryover provision including both Pick 5’s the late Pick 4 and Pick 6 will have a mandatory payout on the final day of the meet Monday, September 5. Dylan Davis rides It’s Your Nickel out of the paddock before Race 6 Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.
