The show will move from Saratoga Springs to Stillwater beginning next June, in time for the event’s 20th anniversary.
The horse show is the college’s largest annual fundraiser and all proceeds go toward student scholarships.
The new facility will add both competition and practice rings, increasing the number of arenas from five to eight. Also, it will have enlarged spaces for horses, turnout, vendors and public viewing.
The Saratoga Springsbased LA Group is the project’s landscape architect. The firm will use a design developed by equestrian industry expert Allen Rheinheimer.
Site improvements will begin this fall, Einhorn said.
The Rosenheim property was previously the owner’s standardbred training track. A New York City native, Rosenheim was for many years an advertising executive and later owned a media brokerage. His love of horses and success in racing led him to build the standardbred facility. He passed away in 2015.
A separate event, the Saratoga Springs Horse Show, will continue to use the Yaddo grounds. This threeweek show, in May, is a fundraiser for the non-profit Capital Fund of Saratoga County, which distributes proceeds to charitable groups throughout the area.
