ART FOR THE VIEW: Sunnyview Rehabilitation Hospital, a member St. Peter’s Health Partners, will hold an opening reception for “Art for the View,” a one-of-a-kind international exhibition featuring artworks by individuals who live with physical or mental disabilities, on Friday, October 21, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., at the Fenimore Gallery at Proctors, State St., Schenectady. This year’s exhibition features 55 unique works created by 30 artists, including five artists from the Capital Region area. Guests of the opening reception will enjoy a private preview showing of the winning collection, live musical entertainment, and an art sale and auction. Tickets are $100 for adults, and $75 for young professionals (under age 35). Proceeds will benefit life-changing programs for patients at Sunnyview. HAUNTED SARATOGA: A walking tour that explores the lives and locations of Saratoga Springs’ intriguing and sometime spooky history starts on Broadway with a visit to a building that has witnessed a number of strange events, and continues to Congress Park and finally into the “Gut”—the old Jewish quarter. Along the way are stories of the many spirits that have lived in the city for hundreds of years. Tours are given every Friday and Saturday evening at 7 p.m. through October. Extra tours are scheduled for October 30 at 5p.m. and October 31. Walking distance is less than a mile covered at a vey leisurely pace and takes about 90 minutes.
