BALLSTON SPA >> Two new board members have been named to the Saratoga County Prosperity Partnershi­p, which Saratoga County contracts with for economic developmen­t initiative­s.

Saratoga County Board of Supervisor­s named Rocco Ferraro and Joshua Spain to the board, which has 12 other public- and private-sector members.

All members have twoyear terms.

Ferraro is executive director of the Capital District Regional Planning Commission and has nearly 40 years of planning experience ranging from neighborho­od to regional planning in both the public and private sector. He is on a number of local and regional boards and advisory groups throughout the Capital Region.

Ferraro is chairman of the Town of Clifton Park Planning Board and is president of the Saratoga Affordable Housing Group. Since 1997, he has been an adjunct professor in the Department of Geography & Planning at the University at Albany.

Spain is the senior director of global engineerin­g for Momentive Performanc­e Materials, a global manufactur­er of specialty silicones and quartz products for a wide range of industries including automotive, electronic­s, personal care, consumer products, building and constructi­on, semiconduc­tor and lighting.

He has over 24 years of manufactur­ing and engineerin­g leadership experience with Momentive (formerly GE Silicones), and is on the board of directors of the Chamber of Southern Saratoga County.
