Carleen (Straus) Hamilton
CHERRY HILL, NJ - leen (Straus) Hamilton, 81, passed away on Feb. 19, 2017. She was a longtime resident of Cherry Hill; formerly Saratoga of Springs, NY; beloved wife of the late H. George Ham- ilton; loving mother of Tia (Jonathan) MacCornack, Brock (Bridget) Hamilton, Brandon (Sue) Hamilton, Elyse Hamilton, dear mother of Roger (Karen) Hamilton, Alexander (Cathy) Hamilton and the late Marianne Hamilton; cherished grandmother of 7 and sister of the late William Straus; and devoted cousin of Benjamin Straus and Donald Straus.
Carleen was a beloved teacher in the Cherry Hill School District where she taught Elementary Ed for more than 23 years. She was known especially for encouraging her students to write poetry to music. She was a published poet and did poetry readings in the area. Carleen designed and sewed her own cloth.ing line under the logo name Zopiah. For several years, she sold her dresses at Three Cranes Gallery in New Hope
She studied modern dance and ran an interpretive modern dance studio in her home in Cambridge, New York. She was a voice major at Potsdam University before switching to Elementary Ed and was in many plays and musicals. She was also a featured so- loist at St. Bartholomew’s Church in Cherry Hill, NJ and also did interpretive dance on the altar.
She and her husband, George, also wrote and preserved thousands of love poems they gave to each other daily and their love story was featured on the front page of The Phila2013. delphia Inquirer on Easter Sunday in
Additionally, she was a lover of humanity and animals.
Carleen’s family received friends on Thursday, Feb 23rd, at Kain-Murphy Funeral Home, Haddonfield NJ and her Memorial Service was held on Friday, Feb. 24th.

SARATOGA SPRINGS – Sherry Robinson, age 69, passed away after a long illness.
Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 10:30am with a memorial service at 10:30am on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 149 Lake Ave., Saratoga Springs.

Corinne A. Schermerhorn
SARATOGA SPRINGS Corinne A. Schermerhorn passed away Friday, March 3, 2017. She was 84.
Born in Jersey City, NJ in 1932, Corinne grew up in Essex County, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Christine Corbett Morse and graduated from Oxford Academy High School in Oxford, NY. In 1953 she graduated from Nathan Littauer Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse. After nursing school Corinne at tended St. John’s University and began her nursing career at New York Hospital. As a pediatric specialist at The John Hopkins Hospital and Buffalo Children’s Hospital, she was a caring nurse for many children during her career. She also worked at Ellis Hospital and Maplewood Manor Nursing Home.
Corinne was a resident of Clifton Park, NY for over thirty five years. She was a volunteer for the board of elections in Clifton Park and was a gifted artist, loved making crafts and was an avid reader. Along with being a loving mother to her own four children, Corinne was a dedicated sister, daughter, aunt and cousin to her very large and extended family.
In addition to her ents, Corinne was predeceased by her husband William R. Schermerhorn and their son Edward A. Schermerhorn.
Survivors include her three sons, Richard W. Schermerhorn and his wife Lindy of San Diego, CA, Robert M. Schermerhorn and his wife Lisa of Saratoga Springs, NY and Timothy P. Schermerhorn and his wife Sharon of Doylestown, PA. She was the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Mike, Kayla and Caroline Schermerhorn.
Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6pm Friday, March 10, 2017 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bus- sing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broad- way, Saratoga Springs 5373). Funeral services will be conducted at 10am Sat-urday, March 11, 2017 at the funeral home and burial will be at St. Peter’s etery, West Ave.
