Bank donates $16K to local groups
BALLSTONSPA, N.Y.>> Ballston Spa National Bank recently contributed $16,000 to organizations across the region. Organizations were chosen, in part, based on employees who nominated causes to which they were personally connected.
“At BSNB, we take tremendous pride in helping to support and strengthen the communities where we live and work,” said President and CEO Chris Dowd. “Iwould like to thank our incredible staff for continuously dedicating their time and effort to making a positive difference. We are especially pleased to provide financial support to organizations that are near and dear to our employees’ hearts.”
The groups chosen to receive the donations include, but are not limited to:
•Balls ton Spa Area Community Center: Provides essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of the youth and families in the Ballston area.
• Capital District YMCA Circle of Champs Program: A program dedicated to improving the quality of life for children who’ve been touched by a life-threatening illness.
• Code Blue (nominated by Jill Robbins, BSNB Branch Administration): Provides temporary unrestricted shelter to individuals who are homeless during periods of hazardous winter weather including sleeping accommodations, meals, and essential supplies.
• Double H Ranch: Provider of free specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
• Make a Wish Northeast New York (nominated by Meg Gavin, BSNB Finance): Serves a unique and vital role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions.
• Newmeadow School: School that looks to transform the lives of children, including those with autism and other special needs, and prepare them for learning and life.
• Northeast Kidney Foundation/ William Cromie Children’s Dialysis Fund: Voluntary health organization dedicated to preventing kidney disease and enhancing the lives of all those who are affected by it.
• Rebuilding Together Saratoga County (nominated by William-MacDuff, BSNB Deposit Support): Brings volunteers and communities together to improve the homes and lives of homeowners in need across Saratoga County.
• Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Capital Region (nominated by Renee Flanders, BSNB Marketing): Provides a haven of comfort, love, healing and hope: free of charge: for critically ill children and their families.
• Saratoga County Economic Opportunity Council: Committed to being a leader in advocating for opportunities and developing solutions to promote healthy, thriving families and caring community partners.
• Saratoga County Rural Preservation Company: Offers housing and employment services to veterans and their families in Saratoga County.
• Schenectady City Mission: Non- denominational ministry dedicated to serving the poor and homeless, helping them get out of poverty and stay out of poverty for the rest of their lives.
• Stillwater Area Community Center: Dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in the surrounding community.
• Wellspring: Supports victims of domestic violence and sexual assault across Saratoga County.
