VENICE, FL - Phyllis DeTrieble Wein Trieble of Venice, FL passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017, at 82.

She was born on July 27, 1934 in Mechanicsv­ille, NY to George and Alice (Gower) DeWein.

She graduated from State University Teachers’ College at Plattsburg­h in 1955 with a B.S. in School NurseTeach­ing. She took her first job as a school nurse in Ballston Spa, NY where she met and married her husband of 60 years Charles L. Trieble. She and her husband settled in Needham Heights, MA, where they raised their four children. For many years she worked as the Administra­tor at Wellesley Manor Nursing Home, before moving to the ICU at Glover Memorial Hospital, in Needham. She eventually returned to school nursing in the Needham Public Schools, where she was adored. She and her husband retired to Venice, FL in 1991, where she made many new friends, volunteere­d in the library at Venice Regional Hospital, and was an active member in her church, where she especially enjoyed singing in the choir. choir She will be remembered for her quick wit, great cooking, and deep devotion to family and friends.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles, of Venice, FL, and her children Stephen (Eileen) TriePaul ble of Upper St. Clair, PA, (Mary) Trieble of Harwich, MA, Carol (Chuck) Sears of Medway, Medway MA,MA and Robert Trieble of Chatham, MA. She also leaves her sister Marjorie Duquette of Cadyville, NY, and her Aunt Helen (Gower) Mahoney of Ballston Spa, NY. She also leaves 10 grandchild­ren, one great grandchild, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

All are invited to a memorial service in her honor at Christ United Methodist Church, 1475 Center Rd, Venice, FL 34292 on, March 25, 2017 at 10:00AM.
