Time for new ideas, energy in Ballston Spa
I’ve often said, I grew up at the right time in the right place. It was a time when our neighbors were true friends and everyone helped and cared for each other. We had the best of everything. The best fire department, emergency corp, organizations, and most of all the best people and history. The older generation of that day are gone now and new families and individuals have taken their place. Guess what, Ballston Spa is still the best place to grow up and raise a family.
Many names have changed but we still remain a village of friends. For the first time in many years we are faced with a contested village election. I think back to when my dad was Mayor and he always ran on the independent Citizens Party line.
His reasoning was in a small village election we are not Democrats or Republicans, but we are friends and neighbors. The issues facing us are small town local issues, ie streets, water issues, recreation, zoning etc.
It’s with this in mind that I have reviewed the candidates and have decided to support the candidacy of Noah Shaw, Shawn Raymond and Erika Tebbens. I have found them to be young, sincere, and energetic with wonderful ideas for our village’s future. We have two choices folks, and I think it’s time for a change. It’s time for new ideas and energy. It’s with my love and pride of Ballston Spa, and with thoughts of my grand children that I will be Voting Row A. We all moved to and live in Ballston Spa for the same reason; it’s a wonderful small village of friends and neighbors. — James Capasso
