SCHUYLERVI­LLE Edward R. Wilusz, 63, a resident of Rugg Rd., Schuylervi­lle, passed away unexpected­ly Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home.

Born January 23, 1954 in Utica, NY he was the son of the late Edward “Smokey” and Katherine Dipierro Wilusz.

Mr. Wilusz was a graduate of Utica Free Academy and then joined the US Army where he served until 1978. He worked for several years at Wilton DDSO before starting his career in Correction­s with the US Government. His work brought him to Lompoc, CA, Morgantown, WV, Bradford, PA, and Englewood, CO. He received several prestigiou­s awards within the Federal ment Correction­s System.

He was an avid sports fan with a die-hard love for the NY Yankees. He enjoyed cooking his spaghetti sauce on Sundays. He loved all music and attending the Jazz Festival at SPAC. He was a life long softball player traveling with the men’s over 50 league. Recently he enjoyed working security with the Green Jackets Football Team. He was a member of tenary United Methodist Church in Greenwich.

Eddie is now enjoying all things he loved including playing a baseball game with Larry, Michael and Smokey.

In addition to his ents, he was predecease­d by 2 brothers, Michael and Lawrence Wilusz.

Survivors include his 3 daughters, Cassandra Wilusz (Dave Alexander) of Schuylervi­lle, NY; Caitlin Wilusz of FL, and Mackenzie Wilusz of CO; granddaugh­ter, Maizee of Schuylervi­lle; 2 brothers, Kevin (Marie) Wilusz of Glens Falls and Peter Wilusz of Ballston Spa; 1 sister, Donna Wilusz of Saratoga Springs; 4 nieces, Melissa, Lisa, Amber and Winter; 3 nephews, David, Kevin and Jacob; best friends, Claudia and Paul Hollenbeck and Gracie and Freddy Kemick; as as his very loyal best friend Vito.

A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Monday, March 27, 2017 at Centenary United Church, 1 Gray Ave., Greenwich, NY with Rev. Debbie Earthrowl, officiatin­g. Burial will follow at 1:30pm in the Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylervi­lle.

Friends may call on day from 11am-12pm prior to the service at the church.

A reception for family and friends will follow the burial at 2pm Monday at the Quaker Springs Fire House, 107 Blodgett Rd., Schuylervi­lle, NY.
