Fools for Lax Night: The Saratoga Sprigns girls lacrosse boosters will host Fools for Lax night starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 1 at King’s Tavern on Union Ave. The cost is $15 per person for hearty pub fare. There will be prizes for the best Saratoga Lax “Superfan” attire.

ValleyCats National Anthem auditions: The Tri-City ValleyCats are set to host their 7th Annual National Anthem tryouts at Crossgates Mall on Saturday, April 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Registrati­on will begin promptly at 9:30 a.m. and will be located on the lower level outside of Lord & Taylor. The top five finalists will have their performanc­es videotaped, which will then be placed online for a fan vote. The top vote-getter will receive the opportunit­y to perform on one of the biggest nights of the year at “The Joe,” such as Opening Night and the 4th of July, in front of an average crowd of 5,000-plus fans. The rest of the finalists will be awarded the chance to sing at another night during the season.

Cambridge to celebrate state football champs: The Cambridge Tribesmen Booster Club will honor the New York State Class D State Champions, Saturday, April 1 at 3 p.m. in the High School Pride Cafeteria. The event is free and open to the public. A reception will take place immediatel­y following the ceremony. The players and coaches will receive their championsh­ip jackets and patches, purchased by the Booster Club and championsh­ip rings will also be presented, made possible by generous community donations.

Camp Saratoga 5K Trail Series: The Camp Saratoga 5K Trail Series will be held Mondays June 26, July 10, July 24, August 7 and August 21 at 6:15 PM at Camp Saratoga, Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park. The races are open to all and registrati­on is $5 at the door. Proceeds benefit the Wilton Wildlife Preserve and the Saratoga Spa State Park. Refreshmen­ts and raffle prizes afterwards.
