The people of Clifton Park first complain about a new ShopRite supermarket, and now they complain about a new church on Usher’s Road. What are you going to complain about next, a new red light? Why don’t you mind your own business and let things grow?

••• During the season of spring and Easter, all should appreciate Broadway’s historic Church of St. Peter as their treasured and priceless bell rings loudly once again throughout Saratoga Springs. It rang as countless masses, weddings, funerals and at the conclusion of numerous wars and conflicts. Music now chimes daily and prior to all weekend liturgies. Regardless of one’s faith all can enjoy the bell as it conveys a true message of peace at this time needed more than ever.

••• I live off Crestwood and I’d like to thank the three older gentlemen from the highway department who fixed my mailbox. They did a very professional job and it looks a lot better than my old one, and I’m sure it will last for years and years. Thanks again.

••• Many thanks go out to Kathy Marchione and Carrie Woerner for privatizing NYRA again. It’ll be a big benefit for the businesspeople of this city, and thank God Joanne Yepsen wasn’t able to meddle in this one.

••• For people who want to buy bagels, please double check if you’re ordering more than one. Any time I’ve ordered several dozen, I’m shorted at least two or three bagels. It seems to me that these people who want more hourly wages and a minimum wage over $15 can’t even count. We need to do something. It seems simple enough to count to 24. We need to make sure people get what they pay for. I notice that after a brief break a person in charge of bashing Stewart’s in Sound-Off is at it again. Please tell this person that gas prices are based on station location and the competition around it. I live a three-iron away from a Stewart’s, and they’re kitty-corner to a Mobil and they’re always cheaper than Mobil. It depends on where the stations are.

••• Thank you to all who donated food or money to the food drive at Stewart’s in Greenfield Center on April 8. Your donations are gratefully accepted. We thank a very generous community, the Greenfield Lions for collecting, and Stewart’s for allowing us to be in front of their store. It was a great success.

••• Shen school district owns the land, not the people of Clifton Park. Shen school district should be able to do what they want with the land and sell it to who they want. Why don’t the people mind their own business?

••• Let’s look at some of President Trump’s accomplishments last week. The unemployment rate went down another 0.1 percent due to more manufacturing jobs being created. He met with the Chinese president and they became friends while discussing the North Korea issue. The stock market remained strong and he sent cruise missiles to Syria after they gassed their own people, which was a very brave move. President Trump truly seems to be trying to help this country despite Democratic obstructionism.

••• The left-wing media is the best thing about America.

••• The headline in the nation and world news feed section in the April 10 Record says, “Syrian refugees see glimmer of hope in Trump’s policy shift.” Then you read the article and it says some refugees cheered the missile attack, but others opposed U.S. intervention. I think those opposed to intervention must be realists and have seen what U.S. intervention has brought to their neighbors in Iraq, Libya, Yemen and Afghanistan.

••• You know what makes me mad? When our kids can’t have their morning prayers or bible study in their school, but a Muslim can have a whole classroom for their daily prayers to their killer god.

••• Someone should portray Alec Baldwin ranting at his daughter over the phone. His moronic portrayal of Trump has worn very thin.

••• Once again King Andrew Cuomo has overburdened the taxpayers, particularly senior citizens with another outrageous budget. Free tuition is never free. State colleges will jack up costs every year because taxpayers will be footing the bill. Graduates will leave the state because there are no jobs. Those with substantial means are leaving in droves while the king brings in more illegal aliens to add to our welfare state. Remember all the politicians voting for the budget at election time and vote them all out.

••• I tried to look up the Waterford police on Facebook but they don’t have a Facebook page. Come on, Waterford P.D., get with the program. Get a Facebook page.

••• If Trump’s popularity continues to drop, he can attack North Korea and hire the king of Halliburton, Dick Cheney, to rebuild them both.
