By Sports Staff SHENENDEHO­WA 16, COLUMBIA 5>> Shenendeho­wa jumped out to an early lead to take a 16-5 win over Columbia.

The Plainsmen scored first of a Payton Johnson’s RBI single in the first. The third saw Shen take a huge lead, scoring 11 runs and putting the game out of reach for Columbia.

Columbia scored three in the seventh, but still dropped the matchup to the Plainsmen. Shen commited zero errors in the game, while Columbia made five errors. QUEENSBURY 11, BURNT HILLS 5>> Vincent Valenti went 4 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs and Jack Sylvia hit 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs leading Queensbury to the big win over Burnt Hills who falls to 8-8 on the season and 1 for 4 in the conference.

Burnt Hills had a strong performanc­e from Derek Haughey had a double and two RBIs in the loss. and a home run to get Albany Academy the 24-14 over Ravena in a high scoring game.

Carter Sorensen and Matthew Ferriero had a double and a triple to help there team to 14 runs, but still picked up the loss. strong performanc­e from Joe McDonald, who had two goals and one assist, and Alex Yerou’s one goal and two assists. Ballston Spa’s James Nash had a strong performanc­e in goal, making 17 saves, but let up eight goals to lead his team to a win.

Queensbury had three goals from James Conway and two goals and two assists from Joe Geradi. Queensbury used two goalies in Cole Carpenter and Kellen Gannon who both had four saves and gave up seven goals apiece. MARCELLUS 15, NISKAYUNA 7>> Niskayuna got 10 saves from Mary Tiscione and three goals from Annabelle Conover, but still dropped the game to Marcellus 15-7.

Colette Rioas scored six goals and had one assist, Katherine Locastro had four goals and two assists to lead Marcellus to victory.
