MOREAU LAKE STATE PARK:

Ridge Run Hike, 10 a.m. This moderate hike is about 3.5 miles round trip. The hike up to the ridge is a bit steep for about a mile but then the ridge is rather flat. This is a nice hike that also goes past the overlook of Moreau Lake, where you can stop and have lunch. If you’re lucky you may get a chance to see some wildlife. Reservatio­ns are required with 24 hours advanced notice, please call 793-0511. Moreau Lake State Park is located off of exit 17 S of I87,the Adirondack Northway.

NYS 5-HOUR PRE-LCENSING CLASS:

On Wednesday, April 26, Neal and Edna Van Dorsten will present “The Dark Continent” an illustrate­d slide talk on the wildlife and history of southern Africa. BENEFIT FOR MYA: The Henry Cornell Post 234 American Legion in Ballston Spa is hosting a benefit for Mya Hauser on April 29 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at 23 Pleasant Street, Ballston Spa. Mya is a 15 year old student who has recently been diagnosed as having 4th stage Hodgkin Lymphoma. This benefit is to help raise money for her parents top pay off the medical bills to treat Mya. Tickets are $20 (ages 12 and up) and include BBQ chicken dinner, hamburgers & hot dogs for purchase for children. There will also be raffles, a 50⁄50 and a live auction.
