Three employees honored
ALBANY, N.Y. >> AT&T said three of its employees from Saratoga County were honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Awards.
A news release said John Altieri, John Gaworecki, and Robert Singley were honored for giving their time to transform their community for the better.
Gaworecki was awarded a Silver Award for volunteering more than 250 hours, and Altieri and Singley — a resident of Saratoga Springs — was awarded a Bronze Award for volunteering more than 100 hours in 2016.
The PVSA recognizes individuals who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism throughout the year. These AT&T employees in the Capital Region are among 4,288 AT&T employees nationwide to receive this honor, the release said.
“These individuals help our communities through selfless acts every day. Whether it’s mentoring students, cleaning up our parks or feeding the hungry, our employees are giving back,” said Marissa Shorenstein, New York president, AT&T, in a news release. “In honor of National Volunteer Month, we congratulate these employees and hope their stories inspire others as much as they inspire us.”
