AVERILL PARK » Sophia Burke scored five goals while Katie Wendell had four and Sylvie Waters notched a hat trick for Saratoga Springs’ girls lacrosse team in an 18-2 rout of Averill Park.

Cam Perry added two goals and three assists for Saratoga Springs.

Averill Park goalkeeper Laura Wing had a game-high nine saves. SARATOGA SPRINGS 16, BURNT HILLS-BALLSTON LAKE 6 » Junior Kaite Wendell had five goals and an assist while senior Cam Parry finished with four goals for the Blue Streaks in a victory over the Spartans.

Lauren Hopsicker recorded a hat trick to lead Burnt Hills.

Blue Streaks (5-0 Suburban Council, 6-1 overall) goalkeeper­s Abbie Searles, Emily Fischer and Peyton Yourch combined for 10 saves in the win.

Softball

BALLSTON SPA 7, NISKAYUNA 2 >> Sarah Pritchard earned the win in the circle for the Scotties and went 2-for-3 from the plate to help her own cause. Lauren Kersch also had two hits while Megan McMahon scored three of Ballston Spa’s seven runs. BALLSTON SPA 6, SHENENDEHO­WA 0 >> Lauren Kersch pitched a four-hit shutout to lead the Scotties to victory. Jillian Nitchman had three hits while Sarah Pritchard hit a tworun homer in the bottom of the second for Ballston Spa. Emily Albanese took the loss in the circle for the Plainsmen.

Baseball

MOHONASEN 2, SARATOGA SPRINGS 0 >> Brandon Kruzinski pitched 6 1/3 scoreless innings and Brennan Macejka closed out the contest as Mohonasen handed Saratoga Springs its second loss of the season. Keegan Leffler allowed two runs in six innings of work to take the loss for the Blue Streaks. TROY 3, COLONIE 2 >> Mike Hughes allowed two runs in seven innings of work and had six strikeouts to earn the win on the mound for the Flying Horses. Shawn Seabury went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double and two RBIs as Troy scored two runs in the sixth to clinch the win. SHAKER 7, AVERILL PARK 1 >> Dino Ferrarese knocked in three runs and Maki Medici added a two-run single for Shaker in a win over Averill Park on Monday. Duncan Satterlee earned the win for the Blue Bison (5-3) with one earned run and six strikeouts in six innings of work.

Anthony Germinerio took the loss for the Warriors (1-6-1). ALBANY ACADEMY 11, WATERVLIET 1 >> E.J. Birch allowed one run in six innings of work and Brett Young completed a scoreless seventh inning for the Cadets in a Colonial Council win. John Decker and Ben Seiler doubled for Albany Academy (5-2 Colonial, 5-2 overall).

Evan Tambolleo took the loss for the Cannoneers (2-4, 2-5). NISKAYUNA 6, BALLSTON SPA0>> Alec Ritzenthal­er pitched a complete game shutout for the Silver Warriors. He allowed three hits and struck out nine in the win. Nick Insognia and Ben Funyak both homered and contribute­d five of the six RBIs for Niskayuna. SHENENDEHO­WA 11, BURNT HILLS 8 >> Griffin Wallner went 3-for-4 with two doubles and Matt Connors went 2-for-2 with a single and two RBIs to lead the Plainsmen offense.

Nake Katz hit two doubles for the Spartans, who scored four runs in the bottom of the seventh to rally to within three runs. SCHUYLERVI­LLE 10, SOUTH GLENS FALLS 4 >> Matt McCarthy earned the win on the hill for the Black Horses with four runs allowed in six innings of work. Schuylervi­lle (5-1 Wasaren League, 8-2 overall) jumped out to a 9-0 lead and cruised the rest of the way.

Boys tennis

CBA 7, TROY 2 >> Troy’s doubles teams of Andre Burke/ Zach Balogh and Brennan Strang/Ryan Hoas both won matches but it turned out to be the Flying Horses’ only points of the match. BURNT HILLS-BALLSTON LAKE 8, MOHONASEN 1 >> David Maher won the Warriors’ only point with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Ryan Vullo in No. 1 singles. The Spartans’ Drew DeLorenzo, Michael Fulgieri and Kyle Larned did not drop any games in their straight-set singles wins. ALBANY ACADEMY 7, SCHOHARIE 0 >> Three O’Brien’s helped AA to a sweep of Schoharie. Connors O’Brien did not drop a point at No. 1 singles for the Cadets while Aidan O’Brien won at No. 2 and Will O’Brien earned the team point a No. 3. BALLSTON SPA 6, AVERILL PARK 3 >> Pete Gonzales earned a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Averill Park’s Lucas Harland at No. 1 singles in a 6-3 team victory for the Scotties.

Area Golf

SARATOGA NATIONAL DUO WINS NENY PGA TOURNEY >> Bob Cain and Anders Mattson of Saratoga National Golf Club combined to shoot a 10-under score of 98 to win the Triple Play Pro Tournament at Colonie Golf Club Monday.

Cain and Masters walked away with the $1,150 prize money while Justin Herley of Normanside Country Club and Scott Battiste of Eagle Crest tied Brian Hampson of Normanside and Scott Berliner of Hiland Park at 9-under to share a second prize of $860.

John Andrews of Shaker Ridge and Terence Manziano of Northway Golf Center were fourth at 8-under.
