SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. >> The Saratoga Springs boys lacrosse team jumped out to a six- goal lead after one quarter and never looked back in a 16- 4 Suburban Council win over Averill Park Tuesday evening.

Dylan Honis scored a hat trick and added two assists while Griffin Taylor had two goals and three assists and Adam Mesquita, Chaz Camarro and Andrew Lipscomb each scored twice for the Blue Streaks.

Liam Gelder had a goal and an assist to lead the Wariors offense and goalkeeper Matt Kenneally made a game- high 15 saves. Kyle Vanyo made nine saves in 36 minutes of play for Saratoga Springs. SHAKER 9, BALLSTON SPA 5 >> Shake goalkeeper Brendan Morrisan made eight saves and

not allow a goal in the fourth quarter to clinch the Suburban Council win. Jack Cheney had ahat trick and two assists for the Blue Bison while Michael Stiso and Luke Julien had two goals, one assist.

Ballston Spa was led by two goals from Sam Swinggrube­r and Alex Yerou’s goal and three assists.

Baseball

HOOSIC VALLEY 6, STILLWATER 2 >> Hoosic Valley’s baseball team scored four runs in the first inning to set the tone in a 6-2 Wasaren League victory over Stillwater Tuesday evening.

Jack Soucy pitched five innings to pick up the win for Valley while Jon Colligan and Nick Santiago combined to hold the Warriors scoreless the final two innings. Robbie Varvaro took the loss on the bump for Stillwater. TAMARAC 10, GREENWICH 2 >> Jake Scharnott allowed four hits and two earned runs in six innings to pick up with win for the Bengals while Dan Smith went 3- for- 5 form the plate. Carson Mosher and Carson McKinley both had RBIs for Greenwich. Baily Winch took the loss on the mound for the Witches. WATERFORD- HALFMOON 11, CAMBRIDGE 9 >> Michael Talavera went 3- for- 4 to lead the Fordians at the plate in a shootout. Waterford-Halfmoon scored two runs in the top of the seventh then Robert Walek picked up the save with a scoreless bottom half of the inning for the visitors.

Softball

HOOSIC VALLEY 8, STILLWATER 2 >> Valley jumped out to a 3- 0 lead for all the offense it needed for a Wasaren League win. Camille Coyne twirled a complete game five- hitter to earn the win. GREENWICH1­9, TAMARAC1>> Courtney Fraher finished with a double, a grand slam and 7 RBIs for the Witches while Rachel Hall picked up the win in the circle and contribute­d a home run and a single at the plate. LOUDONVILL­E CHRISTIAN 7, EMMA WILLARD 5 >> Jasmine Mullally hurled a complete game two-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead Loudonvill­e Christian (43) to victory. Kennedy LItchfield led the bats with a single, double and four RBIs. Karson Saunders had a home run and both of Emma Willard’s RBIs.

NISKAYUNA 11 , BURNT HILLS- BALLSTON LAKE 7 >> Taylor Stafford recorded a hat trick for Burnt Hills but Niskayuna’s Becca Curro had four goals in a Suburban Council win.

Boys tennis

SARATOGA SPRINGS 8, AVERILL PARK 1 >> Blue Streaks singles players David Romano, Nicholas Grosso, Max Lee, Luke DeRizzo and Alan Read each won team points to clinch the Suburban Council match.
