Countdown to the Triple
Crown program: Will be held at the National Museum of Horse Racing and Hall of Fame 1p.m. April 29in the Hall of Fame Gallery. Racing experts Tom Amello and Jeff Carle will offer analysis and predictions for the 143rd running of the Kentucky Derby. A question and answer session will offer time to ask questions about the Triple Crown. The program is free and open to the public.
Skidmore boys basketball high potential overnight
camp: Will be offered from noon Friday, July 7to 5p.m. Saturday, July 8for boys in seventh- through 11th grade. The clinic is designed for players who have a foundation of skills and are interested in building upon what they have learned so far. The clinic is offered by Skidmore men’s basketball coach Joe Burke and assistant, Rey Crossman. Skills and drills are taught with simplicity and clarity with high repetition of basic fundamentals; shooting, passing and dribbling in competitive stations. Campers gain knowledge and confidence in their game while competing in a talented pool of other players. Cost is $215. Saratoga Springs Lions Club
duathlon: The 13th annual event will be held 8a.m. May 28at Saratoga Casino and Raceway. The event includes a 5k run, a 30k bike ride and another 5k run. The event supports the Saratoga Lions Club and their programs aiding children with sight, hearing and diabetes issues along with community projects.
