SCHENECTAD­Y - Helene G. Nelson, 96, passed away on April 29, 2017.

Helene was born on ruary 23, 1921, in Hudson Falls, NY, the daughter of George F. and Josephine Nailor Barot. During her infancy her father called her “Peach”, the name she was known by throughout her life.

Following her graduation from Hudson Falls High School Peach met Francis “Ozzie” Nelson. They were married October 19, 1941.

Ozzie predecease­d Peach on January 5, 2005, after 63 years of marriage.

Peach was an plished seamstress. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, playing cards with family, and dipping her feet in a cool brook. Peach and Ozzie enjoyed annual tions in St. Augustine, FL, and the Thousand Islands, NY. They also spent many summers at their camp on Sacandaga Lake.

She is survived by her daughter Linda (Ronald) Coslick, son, Robert (Lynn) Nelson, grandsons Ron Coslick, Jr., Christophe­r Nelson, Daniel Nelson, granddaugh­ter Cynthia Coslick, and great-grandnephe­ws. son, Grayson Coslick. She is also survived by several nieces and

Peach was predecease­d by her brother Alvin Barot and her sisters Veronica Breeyear and Vivian HarMadvey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. eleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectad­y NY 12303, followed by a Mass OF Christian Bural at 11:30 AM at the church.
